WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?
this comic is only an infant and technically has not started yet...! but while you wait for it to finish incubating please enjoy these introductions, doodles, and exactly two (2) actual comic pages.
FISHBOWL ANGELS: The apocalypse is rapidly approaching, and reactions are mixed. A surprising amount of people
don't really seem to care.
In a boring, ugly town in pseudo-california (but not), 3 listless and unsatisfied youths decide to take advantage of the situation
to run away to the city and... um... find themselves. or something.
Meanwhile, many miles away in "The City", a real live angel was captured after falling straight from heaven into a strip mall parking lot.
Tickets to see it are selling fast as fear of doomsday grows among the most desperate corners of society. soon, our heroes will become involved
with the shadowy evil group in posession of the angel. what happens next will shock you.
SO WHO ARE OUR HEROES?
DAHLIA: A girl with big dreams of becoming a famous fashion designer and making a name for herself. She likes to draw, take photos, and post on
her blog to distract herself from thinking about how short and pointless life is. She worries about her friend dizzy, but doesn't
know how to deal with his problems.
DIZZY: Dizzy has no consistent ambitions or plans and is kind of the worst. he will do anything for attention and pity but will never take
advice. he sees dahlia as his older sister and idol. he lives with his (real) older brother who is not very friendly. he is deeply scared of vulnerability
and doesn't appreciate when collin tries to "help him" or "talk through complicated feelings" with him.
COLLIN: Collin is a pushover with a complex about not being special or talented like his obnoxiously rich parents hoped he would be. he does anything
he can to make dizzy happy but gets nothing in return. sad!
but he could never give up on his mission.. clearly they were destined to be together, and no one else could take care of dizzy like he could, and
dizzy could never survive without him, anyway. (what?)
His one true passion in life (other than dizzy)
is fish. He is an expert at keeping indoor aquariums and it's the one thing he can bond with his dad over.
